Neil founded Nelson Australia with Tony Shepley in 1994. As Managing Director, Neil’s in charge of making sure the business runs smoothly, your orders are delivered on time and right first time. You’ll still find Neil out on the road and in the fields, sharing his deep irrigation expertise. He also looks after customers in China and Japan. Neil has worked in the pumping and irrigation industry for 43 years.
Tony and Neil Kelly co-founded Nelson Australia in 1994. He oversees all of Nelson Australia's sales and marketing activities, as well as customer relations in New Zealand, India, and South Korea. Tony has over four decades of expertise in the pumping and irrigation industries. He holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Business (Marketing) from QUT, as well as a Bachelor of Applied Science (Agronomy) from the University of Queensland.
Willem’s 20+ year career spans the agriculture, retail and technology sectors. He joined Nelson Australia in 2015 and is responsible for the finance and operational functions within the organisation.
Willem is a qualified Chartered Management Accountant and hold a Bachelor Degree in Finance and a post graduate Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting.
Evelyn Nunez is a marketing professional with over 10 years of experience in various sectors, including education, technology, and retail. She is currently the Marketing Coordinator at Nelson Irrigation, where she leads the development and implementation of strategic marketing plans, campaigns and initiatives. Evelyn has a proven track record of delivering results, increasing brand awareness, generating leads and driving sales. She is also skilled in digital marketing, social media, content creation, graphic design and event management. She is a creative thinker, a problem solver and a team player.
Greg oversees our Western Australian team. WA customers call on his specialist knowledge of agriculture, industrial and turf irrigation for advice and training, and to keep them updated on irrigation innovations and new products. Greg has 35 years’ experience in the irrigation industry and has been with Nelson Australia for eleven years. He spent eight years as the Chairman of the Irrigation Association WA, and five years on the Smart Approve Watermark Expert Panel.
Sean looks after customers in Queensland. His expertise covers all aspects of irrigation, including the design and construction of projects in landscape, sports turf, and agricultural settings. He has 36 years’ experience in the landscape, pumping and irrigation industry, and has been with Nelson Australia for 22 years.
Aaron looks after customers in Northern New South Wales, the Gold Coast, as well as the Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Thailand. Aaron has first-hand experience in all areas of irrigation, from sports centres to mines, agriculture to landscaping. He has been in the irrigation industry for 38 years and with Nelson Australia for 17 years.
Steve serves customers in Victoria, Southern New South Wales, and Tasmania. Steve has been in the pumping and irrigation industry for over 30 years and has a Masters in Marketing from Monash University. He has been with Nelson Australia for 20 years.
Jeff looks after customers in Western Australia and the Northern Territory. His knowledge of the Hunter Industries irrigation range is deep and detailed, so he’s a valuable resource for retailers, irrigation engineers, and commercial turf managers. Jeff has been in the irrigation industry for 32 years, including 12 years as a Sales Manager with Hunter Industries. He has been with Nelson Australia for ten years. Jeff also holds a Certificate in Nursery Management and is a qualified irrigation auditor.
Darren serves the regions of South Australia and the Sunraysia district of Victoria. Providing technical advice on irrigation, he can help you specify the right irrigation solutions and choose the right Nelson and Hunter products. His expertise covers agricultural and horticultural irrigation, as well as commercial turf and landscape irrigation. He’s been in the irrigation industry for 26 years and with Nelson Australia for five years.
Jason has been working in the Irrigation industry for over 35 years and joined Nelson Australia in 1996. He has a depth of knowledge on pivot and other agricultural irrigation systems and is the main designer of pivot irrigation packs in the organisation. He is responsible for sales and technical customer service.
Sam started working at Nelson Australia in 2011 after moving from Coffs Harbour, NSW. He was born and raised in Deniliquin NSW.
Sam handles customer service, data entry and invoicing.
Sam has a long history in customer service that began in hospitality (fine dining) and he has brought that customer satisfaction ethos across to the irrigation industry.
Sam's other general duties also include general sales enquiries, technical support, freight issues, pricing enquiries and supporting the Area Managers in customer service matters.
Linda started working at Nelson Australia in 2020, she lives in Ipswich, and has over 38 years’ experience in Customer Service. With over 15 years’ experience in Retail Management & Multi-Media Marketing.
Linda commenced training in SprinklerChart, an online pivot irrigation design software program, and helps to co-ordinate Pivot Pack Schedules.
Linda is working as part of the customer service team, assisting with enquiries, order entry, product information , dispatch of orders and account enquiries.
Michael started working at Nelson in December 2021. As part of the Technical Customer Service team, he provides support for Hunter/Nelson irrigation products.
Michael has over 18 years experience in the irrigation industry. He has experience as an irrigation installer, working on large sports fields and golf courses and spent over 13 years as a service technician. He has expert experience in dealing with the Hunter range of products from residential through commercial and golf products. Michael also has extensive knowledge working with and trouble shooting Hunter Decoder systems.
Michael works with the customer service team, assisting with enquiries, order entry and product information.
Elena joined Nelson Irrigation in July 2012. She has extensive experience in finance.
Elena is responsible for accounts payable & receivable, Payroll and assist with financial reporting.
Corey started working at Nelson Australia in 2005 after serving 8 years with a local irrigation retailer.
Corey's first three years with Nelson Australia were in an order entry/customer service role. He worked closely with both Operations and Technical Customer Service, gaining experience with Purchasing and Logistics along wih exposure to Pivot Design and some aspects of Project Management. In 2008 he moved into the position of Logistics Manager, overseeing purchasing, warehousing and logistics.
A few years ago he transitioned to the role of Operations Manager with a focus on internal project management and improving workplace practices leveraging new technologies. He is involved in software development and deployment, infrastructure improvement and additions, and oversees the company's purchasing requirements.
Sean started working at Nelson Australia in June 2002. He started as a storeman, working himself up to the Warehouse Manager role.
While being the Warehouse Manager he started taking on some of the logistics duties before stepping in to the role of Logistics Manager.
Sean's duties are: purchasing – handling Imports, Exports and International and domestic freight. In addition, Sean takes care of the product lead times and freight quotes.
Mario started working with Nelson Australia in 2018 where he hold a position as State Operations Manager for WA.
Mario started working in Irrigation in 2006 in various irrigation outlets including Hugall & Hoile and The Watershed Water systems in WA. Mario holds a CERT IV in Retail Management, and have 30+ years experience in management roles.
Mario oversees the everyday running operation of Nelson Australia's Perth Office including processing and dispatching of orders in WA.
Mitchell started working at Nelson Australia in 2019. He manages the day-to-day operations and warehouse duties at the Melbourne branch.
Mitchell has 8+ years experience in the supply chain, warehousing and logistics industry. He also has a background in carpentry which serves him well with hands-on tasks and dealing with trade clients.
Mitchell supervises the Melbourne warehouse and deals with processing orders, managing freight and deliveries, providing customer service to clients and most importantly making sure the day runs smoothly.
Russell joined the team at Nelson Australia in 2023, where he manages warehouse operations at the Brisbane hub.
Russell comes from a land management background with a certificate III in Horticulture and over 15 years of experience in Land Management, primarily on South-East Queensland Defence bases. During his career Russell held various positions managing people and teams.
Russell supervises the quality team in the Brisbane warehouse in processing orders, assembly work and Pivot creations.
