Power Your XC Hybrid or Node Controller by Harnessing Solar Energy.

Hunter’s Solar Panel provides maintenance-free operation that harnesses the sun’s energy to power controllers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for years on end. It is compatible with the XC Hybrid and Node controllers, which offer both on-the-wall and in-valve-box installation. Connecting the Solar Panel to either controller is an easy process that can be done quickly by any installer. Once connected, the Solar Panel supplies 100% of the controllers’ power, and eliminates the need for battery replacements. Since there are no batteries involved, there’s no need to worry about running out of power or scheduling replacement runs. So not only is the Solar Panel the most convenient solution for powering battery-operated controllers, it’s the most environmentally friendly as well.

The SVC was Hunter’s first battery operated controller, and added a new level of flexibility in our controller offering. Originally released in 2002, SVC has been extremely successful, with successive year over year gains in sales volume. As SVC gained popularity, customers have provided valuable feedback requesting more standard programming features in our battery powered controllers.

All SVC will be replaced with the new Node product, with expected availability from October 2011. Node is an advanced battery operated controller. No limitations, with many features found in AC powered controllers. Node is similar to the SVC in construction and application, but has significant feature improvements, including:

  • 1,2,4, and new 6 station models, (Valve and ValveB models also available)
  • Standard programming with 3 programs (A,B,C) and 4 start times each
  • Accepts up to two 9 volt batteries for extended life
  • Master valve functionality
  • Seasonal adjustment (10-150%)
  • Sensor bypass
  • Total Runtime calculator
  • Odd/even programming

Nelson Irrigation Australia, Australia’s leading distributor of technically advanced irrigation equipment, is delivering cutting edge water efficiency technology to producers of low growing crops with its innovative new “brown plate” for the R3000 Pivot Sprinkler.

The R3000 has been a market favourite for some time thanks to its interchangeable modular design components which can adapt to suit weather and crop conditions with a simple push and turn mechanism.

Featuring easy to identify, wear resistant and precision-accurate colour coded nozzles, the R3000 allows growers to remove the rotator for cleaning or to change a nozzle to suit conditions, without shutting down the system. This results in a drastic reduction of labour and downtime.
